I purchased this car from its third owner, an American working in Germany in the 1990s. During his stay in Weissbaden, he had the car restored to its current condition. It comes with a large, comprehensive file documenting the frame-off restoration. Some interesting updates were performed that have made major improvements to its drivability. Subsequent to having White Post Restorations rebuild the 4 wheel disc brakes, the front brake calipers were replaced with Coopercraft 4 piston units. As a result, this XK150 stops- now! The radiator contains a modern core, and a large thermostatically-controlled fan has been incorporated, resulting in water temperatures of 80 degrees C on a warm day. Riding on a set of "period" Michelin 'X' tires, this Jaguar is comfortable and pleasant to drive, and would make an ideal tour or rally car- it even has an authentic Halda Tripmaster rally instrument.
