1000 Miglia Warm Up USA

October 19-22, 2022

After a two year hiatus due to Covid 19 travel restrictions, the USA 1000 Miglia training and qualifying returned to Middleburg, VA. Here drivers and navigators acquired the skills necessary to participate in Italy. A few lucky teams with the fewest deductions in the local road rallies actually are awarded admission to the main event next June.

On the final day of the event the cars drove to the Creighton Farms Club in Aldie, VA for one last timing and scoring session which coincided with Group Inc’s Cappuccino & Cars display titled “Then & Now.” Featured were a 1949 Delahaye Cabriolet, a 1936 Bugatti Type 57 Atalante, and a 1928 Auburn Speedster, and a 1962 Ferrari 250GTE.
