Alex and I were on the field at 5:00 am for Dawn Patrol to watch the cars enter the show field. The 1932 two-tone blue Duesenberg SJ was the Best Of Show. With it’s one-of-a-kind Figoni body it was the unanimous choice of our little group. There was a featured class of former 24 Hours Of LeMans entries, and none other than six-time race winner Jacky Ickx was present. The two Ferrari classes have so many top-flight entries; Bill & Cheryl Swanson’s 250GT Tour de France won the Major Award for Best Ferrari On The Field.
