1957 Porsche 356 Speedster

Driven on the "Colorado Grand" and the Highlands "One Lap Of The Mountains,” I first met the owner when she was driving the Speedster on the Mountain Mille rally in 2005, and we have been friends ever since.

It was restored by Keith Mastriforte of Special Cars Only, the very same person who restored the 1961 LeMans-winning Ferrari 250TRI/61 that just won Second In Class at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours. The restoration is accompanied by a thick binder of receipts and photographs. The color is Ice Green Metallic, Porsche paint code 250.

It runs a higher performance 1966 912 engine with a Weber carb conversion, and was rebuilt and fully-documented by Special Cars Only.

Eric Wills of Willswerks went through the car mechanically in August, 2026. Amongst other things, all the fluids and filters were changed, fuel tank drained, the valves were adjusted, the front shocks were replaced, and the brakes were adjusted. An engine leak down test shows between 1% and 2% in all cylinders. In addition, five new Vredestein Sport Classic radials were mounted and balanced.

Included in the sale are the side curtains, original steering wheel, a pair of Solex carburetors, and some spare interior leather hides.

The big jobs have been done, and this Speedster can be enjoyed immediately and provide a superb driving experience. The color combination only accentuates the car’s appeal.

It can be seen and test driven in Middleburg, Virginia’s Hunt Country, adjacent to Dulles International Airport.
